Hip replacement
Find the pain relief you've been looking for
The hip is one of the main weight-bearing joints in your body. While hip pain can be caused by deformity or by direct injury, like trauma or a sports injury, the most common cause of hip pain is osteoarthritis (OA) also known as degenerative joint disease (DJD). If you have not experienced adequate results from medication and other treatments, our hip specialist may be able to guide you to a treatment or procedure that may give you the pain relief you long for.
If you require total hip replacement due to severe cartilage damage on your leg bone and socket, we are well-equipped to provide a treatment program that effectively restores function, improves mobility and most importantly, relieves pain.
How hip replacement works
We remove the damaged hip joint and replace it with a mechanical implant, relieving your pain and allowing you to return to your regular activities. At Adventist Health Lodi Memorial, we offer both traditional hip replacement and anterior hip replacement surgery, a minimally invasive procedure enabling the surgeon to access the hip joint from the front rather than from the side or back of the hip and without cutting major muscles. This can mean smaller incisions, less time in the operating room and a faster recovery, as well as a minimal risk of dislocation after the procedure. Talk to your surgeon about what approach is best for you.
Hip surgery services offered:
